My brother was one of the great, lifelong rail fans of all time. He was a well-known name in the hobby, constantly advancing the state-of-the-art in detail and quality…primarily by bringing to market the first fully-detailed and mechanically-functioning trackside signals, sold by Northern and Gulf, over thirty years ago. His passing a few years ago placed in my hands a vast collection of model railroad material (entirely in HO scale, which was his passion), comprising engines, rolling stock, and old-stock kits. It is an unfortunate turn of events that I did not share his love of the hobby, so, if it remains in my hands, this wonderful assemblage will never serve its intended purpose. I have just recently found the time to begin sorting and cataloging the contents of this collection…and it is extensive. The manufacturing date is an approximation…some of these items are undoubtedly from as early as the 1970s. This lot is only a small fraction of the total collection, by manufacturers who I’m sure will be familiar names to model railroading enthusiasts. Kits appear to be complete, and include all parts, materials, and instruction sheets (but, I honestly cannot guarantee that; as far as I know, they have been stored, undisturbed, for at least three decades). I will do my best to answer questions, but, as my familiarity with this material is (very) limited, it may take a while to get back to you (it’s also possible that I won’t be able to give a useful answer at all, but, I will try my best). Additional pics of specific items can be provided on request. Additional listings will cover completed rolling stock (of MANY types), and engines (there are a LOT of those), both detailed, completed models, and those in original, undetailed condition, mostly still in their original factory boxes; inquiries welcome. NOTE: There are actually nine of the InterMountain kits…six different ones, and three duplicates.
