HORNBY BOXED EXCELLENT This locomotive has been professionally refinished and had extra detail added. All glazing has been changed. The buffer beam has been detailed and the pantograph changed to a scale one. One of the front internal glazing pieces has fallen inwards and can easily be rectified. HORNBY KIT BUILT This is a very modified body shell. I has been set up to to sit on a locomotive drive Hall type locomotive chassis. Fitted with a modified boiler, sprung buffers, brass chimney and valves extra valances at the front and rear and cab detail including a hinged foot plate. Fully refinished with Etched name plates. This engine is in excellent condition. It has had a full service and been tested. All buffers and coupling are present . The four wagons are typical of the loads pulled by Mainline Co-Cos and all run nicely behind this engine The British Rail Class 58 were a 50-strong class of Co-Co diesel locomotives, designed for use on heavy freight services. They featured a narrow body with cabs at each end, which led to them being referred to as “Bones” by enthusiasts. Their design represented a major departure from British construction conventions, and innovated the practice of modularisation. Despite expectations of a lengthy service life, all examples were withdrawn in the UK during 2002 after only 19 years of use. Subsequently, most of the class were hired out to Continental Europe for use in Fran.
HORNBY OO GAUGE for 2 Rail Operation. UN BOXED EXCELLENT This locomotive has hardly been run. The traction tyres that fit on the central wheels have perished and need replacing if you wish to pull heavy loads. It could use a light clean to remove any excess dust.
