The EMD GP30 is a 4-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between July 1961 and November 1963. EMD wanted the new body to be modern and updated, so the GM Automotive Styling Center created the GP30’s unique “hump” and cab roof profile.

The locomotive has scratches and spots of paint throughout various sections of the shell. There is discoloration throughout the white paint. One of the trunks have a broken trim piece. The front snow plow has spots of paint. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Engine is in good condition. The walkways are a little dusty. One horn is missing as shown in the photos. It was tested in DCC and ran very well. It runs long hood forwards. The sound works great.
