THIS ITEM IS AN ATHEARN 140-4400 SD40-2 CUSTOM PAINTED AND DETAILED AS FLORIDA EAST COAST #703. THE UNIT STARTED OUT AS AN UNDECORATED SHELL ON A BLUE BOX CHASSIS. I MODIFIED THE DRIVE TO ISOLATE THE MOTOR ELECTRICALLY AND TO MAKE MORE ROOM IN THE SHELL FOR THE ELECTRONICS.
