The authenticity of this vintage piece is further enriched by its original boxes, making it a prized addition to any collection.Please view all photos and grade for yourself.This set from the late 1920″s is not new.This set was expertly serviced by Speichert trains.Strong runner,and illumination works.While viewing photos I have included; you will see some of the engine and car plates show wear and discoloration.Lionel Lines above window are worn,and some of the window strips are loose.The set Box is solid and there is a small sliver [photo #17 ]of the Macy’s tag attached.The OB’s for the #8 Loco and the 337 & 338 are solid with vivid colors.The 338 passenger car has the MACY’s drumhead and the OB has ink stamped MS next to 338 olive stamp.The #8 Loco has been re-wheeled and the Lionel factory [ see photo #22 ] lubrication sheet is included.
